This was my first time shooting in the beautiful St John's Cathedral at the heart of Brisbane City. The sky-high ceilings, colourful stained glass and holy setting brought a state of grandeur to the day, highlighting the significance and importance of the marriage covenant under God. 

 

What a vast space to hold such a small, intimate wedding of 18 close friends and family. Greg and Rachel's big wedding celebration is later on, in August of this year, but they decided to get tie the knot sooner as they'd bought a place together, were ready to move in and start married life.

 

Small ceremonies are so special. You're able to relax and enjoy the moment with those you cherish the most, without the pressure and time constraint of greeting countless guests and perhaps feeling overwhelmed. Rachel & Greg, you're getting the best of both worlds! A private semi-elopement-style wedding and a huge celebration and tea party with all your family and friends.
